As you all know by now, the SoCo Women’s Chorus spring concert, originally scheduled for the first weekend in May, had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, we stopped rehearsing in mid-March as the virus started to spread. However, I can share with you that there will be “virtual” concert. It has been recorded with founder and outgoing Artistic Director Janey Hall conducting, yours truly on piano, and many of the SoCo singers participating from the safety of their computers. It is currently being edited, and should be out soon. I have seen a sneak preview, and it is wonderful to watch. It is just under a half hour, much shorter than we had planned, but, given the obstacles we were facing, it is an impressive achievement! I will let everyone know as soon as the video is ready to go public. Stay tuned!
